Can GearEye read multiple tags at once?

Definitely. The RFID protocol we use enables a reader talk to an individual tag by its serial number. If two tags are sending signals to one reader simultaneously, the reader can't distinguish them. This is called collision. We use anti-collision algorithm so our tags respond to the reader one at a time. Since they can be read in milliseconds, it appears that all the tags are being read simultaneously.
